Herpes Resources and Links

The key to overcoming any challenge in life is to keep a healthy mindset as well as a healthy
physiology. Nothing has any power over us unless we choose to give it power, and Herpes is
no exception.  The better care we take of ourselves, the less important things like Herpes will
become.

On this page are sites with information about herpes and health, strategies for coping, and
other resources that many of our members have found to be informational and inspirational.
We have 3 categories:  General Health, Herpes, and Attitude Adjustment.  :)

Go to the Reading Page for a list of recommended books.

If you've discovered a site that you feel others would benefit from knowing about, please let us know so
we can include it in future updates!

It's ALWAYS best to see a qualified medical professional in person for an exam and testing for
HSV or any other conditions.  You may have noticed an ad link on this page or another
HerpeSite page for "California STD Clinic" or "10 Minute Herpes Test" and Dr. Arani.
 We've met
Dr. Arani and seen his facilities, and recommend him highly!  A self-administered test sent via the mail
without a comprehensive physical exam may not give you an accurate result.  So if you're near the Los
Angeles area, you can visit Dr. Arani personally for an exam, consultation, and diagnosis from a medical
doctor.  An appointment is only $20!  Click on the link to visit his comprehensive STD website, view
photos, and check out his offices.

Social Resources

Communicating with others familiar with the physical, emotional, and social aspects of Herpes can be one
of the most beneficial things you can do.  Realizing that you're not alone and that there are many many
other wonderful people with the virus can help you overcome and accelerate the difficult emotional
adjustment period.

H Peterborough There's a new free social resource for people in the Peterborough, Ontario, Canada
area! Everyone is welcome to post events and links or info about their groups.  Non-members can only
see the front page, to keep the site more confidential.  Check it out!
